A play on Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain (1917), Our Mutt transforms Duchamp’s iconic readymade into a functional water bowl for pets. Both functional and unique, Our Mutt is conceptual art for your favorite quadruped. We hand cast each Our Mutt with ceramic slip, brush on the glaze and number, and date each bowl. All proceeds go directly to support the programming for the outdoor art space, Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, in Dallas TX.

Tamara Johnson and Trey Burns are artists living and working in Dallas, TX. Tamara received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2012 and Trey received his MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2008. After moving to Texas from New York in 2018, Johnson and Burns started Sweet Pass Sculpture Park; an outdoor exhibition space focused on showcasing emerging and mid-career artists, located in West Dallas. Tamara and Trey show their work locally and internationally and hold teaching positions at Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Lead time approximately two weeks. Each bowl is made by hand.
