Bettina Pousttchi Framework
Bettina Pousttchi became known to a wide audience through her monumental site-specific photo installation Echo on Berlin's Schlossplatz (2009-2010). On the facade of the Temporary Art Hall, she used 970 paper posters to resurrect the Palace of the Republic, which had just been demolished, using photographic means. This catalog documents her latest installation Framework for the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt and gives a comprehensive overview of the artist's work in the media of photography, video, and sculpture over the past ten years. With an introduction by Max Hollein, this publication contains an essay on Framework by Katharina Dohm, an overview essay by Adam Szymczyk, and a conversation between Bettina Pousttchi and Nikolaus Hirsch.
