Dallas artist Paul Schneider
Ceramic vessels with inlaid glass and ceramic glazed lamps

Schneider is one of few ceramic artists to use the inlaid glass technique in which shards of stained glass are embedded into a piece during the throwing process. Almost all ceramic pieces are glazed and fired using Raku, a volatile Japanese technique that requires temperatures as high as 1840 degrees Fahrenheit, and that produces ceramics that are both delicate and vibrant in color. No two pieces are alike.
